EXPECTATIONS
Minimum Expectations: Everyone MUST be able to do the following:
- Be able to understand and communicate the PBL process -Communicate WHAT you are doing and WHY you are doing it
- Be able to formulate open-ended interview questions
- Be able to communicate an understanding of what you’ve learned
- Be able to present to an audience
- Be able to collaborate with others
- Be able to demonstrate the research process
- Be able to make basic revisions
- Be able to show an understanding of the objectives and make decisions on next steps based on new understandings.
Higher Level Expectations: Want to impress? Strive to also accomplish the following:
- Be able to conduct purposeful research that promotes critical thinking
- Be able to present to an audience with elaboration and interaction
- Able to present in a coherent, organized manner
- Able to utilize feedback to make meaningful revisions
Highest Level Expectations: Really want to WOW? Reach for the following:
- Be able to conduct purposeful research with analysis and reflection, and formulate meaningful next steps
- Demonstrate the following learning characteristics:
curiosity-ask thoughtful questions
self discovery-learn about yourself-How did you work with everyone?
What did you learn not only about the topic, but how you can relate to the topic? What did you learn about yourself through the process?
Ownership for learning-You have control over your learning.
